The CIPD Learning Hub is the CIPD's professional development and learning platform. It is the core of all CIPD Learning courses, where you can access your learning details, joining instructions, essential reading, and online learning. The Learning Hub also allows you to track your online progress and gives you access to a range of additional resources, such as the Self-Assessment tool, My CPD Reflections, and a customisable learning plan. The Core Learning Subscription is a bundle package of all our Essential Insights courses, plus our eight Introductory Programmes covering the core behaviours of the Profession Map.
The 12-month subscription ensures you can access the learning you require when you need it, enabling you to stay ahead in an ever-changing world of work. In addition, subscribers can get 15% discount on all CIPD Learning courses. Find out more here
CIPD Members get free access to the Core Learning Subscription as part of CIPD membership.
Access to this free content will only be available whilst in active membership. Should the membership be cancelled or suspended, access to this content will be removed and all progress lost.

We welcome all learners on our courses, including face to face events. If you book with us and are visiting the UK from overseas, please allow plenty of time to apply for a Visa, if required. Please also check the latest travel advice on the UK Government website before booking your course and traveling to the UK.
As some of our courses are UK-centric, please check the course content to ensure it's relevant for you, some courses may not touch on global concerns.
All programmes must be completed within the maximum time period stated on the CIPD website, the start date of a programme is defined as any of the following: induction day, introductory workshop, introductory online class, required online and/or telephone activity or the first module that is attended.
Self-directed digital learning will be accessible for twelve months after the booking date.
Access to free member content will only be available whilst you are in active membership, therefore if your membership is cancelled or lapses, your course access will be removed and your course progress may be lost. But you will still be able to access the Learning Hub and its tools for 2 years after this.
Only selected courses will offer a digital certificate of achievement, attendance or completion on the Learning Hub.
Please check the course information which will state whether a certificate is offered on your course.
Course requirements and eligibility
As all our courses are delivered in English, to gain the most from them we recommend you have achieved a sufficient standard of English, both verbal and written (IELTS 6.5 or suitable equivalent as a minimum).
Please also check the course content to ensure it’s relevant for you, some courses will be UK-centric and may not touch on global concerns.
Whilst you may be asked to complete some tasks as part of your course, only the Accredited Programmes require learners to successfully complete assessments to pass the course. You can find out more about these assessments on the relevant Accredited Programme course information page under the ‘What will I need to successfully complete the programme?’.
Booking a course
If booking for yourself or others, you will need to ensure you have the right information to hand before booking.
- Correct membership or account numbers for learners with existing accounts
- Ensures membership/subscriber discount is applied, when applicable.
- Keeps all learning on one account. We cannot merge Learning Hub accounts or transfer learning once they have been started/completed.
- Membership numbers can be found via the CIPD profile. If logged into the correct member account, it will offer the 8-digit membership number in the top corner. If logged into a incorrect account, an account reference number will display here instead.
- If learners have an existing account but are not a member, they can find their 8-digit account reference number in top corner of the CIPD profile.
- If booking for yourself, please ensure you access the shop with your appropriate account.
- The email address connected to the existing account, if applicable - needs to match to verify the account number. If so, it will apply the appropriate discount and keeps all learning on the one account.
- Learner address for the booking - This can either be a work or home address.
- Contact Phone numbers – Learner and Booker phone numbers are required.
- Special requirements – For any reasonable adjustments/dietary requirements.
- Check course criteria - Please ensure learners meet the criteria highlighted in the course information. If booking an Accredited Programme, please review the “What will I need to successfully complete the programme?” section.
- Card payment details
We recommend using the same account for all purchases to keep all your learning on one account. Learning Hub accounts cannot be merged, and learning cannot be transferred once started/completed.
Current CIPD Members - By using your member account, you can get membership discounts on learning, if applicable, and get access to the Core Learning Subscription for free. Resetting your Password - If you want to reset your current password, you can do this on the main CIPD website, here. This will send a reset password link to the email address on your account. When changing your password on your main account, this will also update your password to access the Learning Hub.
Updating both your Email and Password - To change your preferred email and password, you will need to log into your regional CIPD website with your current login details.
If you are accessing the CIPD website via the desktop site, navigate to the 'My Profile' page by either clicking the 'My Profile' link or your name. Both can be found in the top right corner of the CIPD home page once you have logged in.
If using a mobile or tablet to access the CIPD website, you will need to click the menu icon (three lines) in the top right corner which will present a drop-down menu, from which you can click on your name.

Firstly, add the course to your basket using the ‘book now’ option, selecting your preferred date, if required. You will then be presented with the booking details and asked to log in to add learner details.
- Already have an account? Whether it’s an active membership, previous membership, or a guest account, we recommend using the same account for all bookings. Click here to reset your password. If a CIPD member, you can access your CIPD profile to ensure you are in the right account, as your 8-digit membership number will display in the corner of the screen. If a reference number shows, you are not logged into a membership account.

Once logged in, you'll need to add the learners’ details. Here you will be given two options, book for myself or for others.
It’s important the correct information is provided, including the membership/account number (this can be found on the ‘My Profile’ page when users are logged into the CIPD website). The preferred email address connected to this account will also need to be provided. If this information is not supplied or is incorrect, it will affect how users access their learning. In addition, a home/work address and any special requirements will also be required for each learner.
If any of your learners are CIPD Members or CIPD Core Learning subscribers and the membership/account number and email address have been correctly provided, the 15% discount will be applied automatically (if applicable).
Once happy the correct information for each delegate is provided, additional courses can be added (repeating the instructions above), you can input voucher details or head to the secure checkout.
Before you reach the secure checkout, invoice details will be requested. The invoice email you provide will be where all booking emails are sent to relating to this order. Once happy with your order details you can select pay by credit card. Click proceed to continue or cancel to void the booking.
If you proceed, you’ll be taken to the payment page to enter the card details securely. Once the payment is processed, a booking confirmation will display, which will also be emailed to the invoice email provided. Learners will also be sent course access information via email.

Sorry to hear you’re thinking of cancelling, if the learning isn’t right for you, why not enquire about transferring to a different CIPD Learning course? Or if you can no longer make that event, consider deferring to another date? Alternatively, you may want to request for a substitute to take your place instead.

Any refunds will be processed within 14 days of the cancellation notification being made.
If your cancellation relates to a start date which has been deferred from the date stated on your booking confirmation pursuant to a transfer request, no further cancellation rights apply.
