Online Assessments
Expect to invest around five-10 days over an eight-week period.
The Professional Discussion
Approximately three to four weeks after you submit your online assessments, you’ll have an online professional discussion. This is with an experienced CIPD assessor. The discussion takes around 2–2.5 hours.
The assessor will ask questions about your career. They’ll follow up on some of the examples you provided for the assessment. And they’ll ask for additional examples of your work.
The Professional Discussion is a structured conversation, led by your assessor. This makes sure you have the best opportunity to showcase your work. And to show us how you meet the membership standards. There’ll be a focus on the impact of your work on employees, the organisation or the profession. Prepare to explain how and what you’ve achieved.
*The one-off assessment fee is non-refundable
**Your Membership fee covers up to 15 months, valid until 30 June 2024
***Next time you renew your membership, you’ll pay the membership fee for the grade you’re awarded.
