Pathways to CIPD professional membership

HR, L&D and OD practitioners who prove they meet rigorous CIPD standards are more influential, respected and valued. And since accreditation celebrates your team’s successes and inspires pride in their work, they feel great about it too.

There are pathways to CIPD Professional Membership to suit your people team depending on their level of experience and desire to study.

Non-study routes – based on professional experience

Experience assessment

For experienced people professionals in your team who are not already in membership, CIPD’s Experience Assessment benchmarks an individual’s performance against the global standard.

Upgrading

For those in your team who are already CIPD members (Associate or Chartered Member), upgrading is a short experience-based assessment to advance their credibility and their visibility as people professionals.
