In March this year, the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Select Committee launched an inquiry into gender pay gap reporting in the private sector. The Committee was looking at the issue of compliance of businesses with reporting requirements on the gender pay gap, such as whether the regulations are properly capturing salary data, and what steps companies were taking to address their gender pay gaps.
