The HR Leaders Network is a space for the most senior people professionals in Northern Ireland. It is designed for those in board-level or executive roles with organisation-wide responsibility for people strategy – such as HR Directors, People Directors, Chief HR Officers, and Chief People Officers.
The network brings together strategic leaders shaping policy, driving transformation, and leading organisational culture across complex landscapes. It offers a trusted space for peer learning, insight-sharing, and relationship-building, while also feeding into CIPD’s research and policy agenda to influence the profession nationally.

For CIPD members at Chartered Member level or above, this network is for those with strategic responsibility for people and organisational policy in Northern Ireland.

We offer a range of events across Northern Ireland to support connection, learning, and insight for people professionals. These include our Senior People Professional Network, which brings together senior HR, L&D and OD professionals to discuss key issues shaping the world of work; our HR Leaders Network, designed for HRDs, CHROs and CPOs from major organisations to explore strategic people and business challenges; and our Public Policy Forum, which enables members to contribute to CIPD’s policy work through themed sessions on current workplace issues.
Our flagship event, the CIPD Northern Ireland Annual Conference in Belfast, brings together hundreds of people professionals from across the region. It’s a key opportunity to network, gain the latest insights, and hear from expert speakers on the most relevant and pressing topics shaping our profession.
We welcomed over 300 people professionals from across Northern Ireland for a day of insightful conversations, practical ideas and valuable connections - exploring the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of work.
