Ahead of our Annual General Meeting on 14 January 2025, we’ve published our latest Annual Report and Accounts. Covering our financial year, ending 30 June 2024, the report explores the breadth and depth of work we do champion better work and working lives and ensure CIPD membership meets the evolving needs of the people profession.

This year, we’ve grown our community to more than 162,000 members, with 28,600 learners from over 130 countries starting their CIPD qualifications or accredited degrees. And by partnering with 272 private and public sector employers, we supported 57,000 people professionals to build their capability, confidence and credibility.

We’re doing more for our members than ever before, and there’s much more to come.

We’re making CIPD membership work by listening to members’ needs and responding to them. This year, we have introduced more mentoring opportunities, better CPD support and stronger professional networks.

To support members’ continuing professional development (CPD) we launched 17 new courses on the CIPD Learning Hub and added 200 fresh resources to the Knowledge Hub.

‘’We’re listening to our members’ feedback. We’re tuning in to what you need, when you need it, and how we can make it more accessible to you. What we learn from you is shaping our approach as the voice, the standard and the partner for our profession.’’

Peter Cheese, Chief Executive, CIPD

The CIPD Trust continued to help people overcome workplace challenges, empowering more individuals to thrive. This success is thanks to the dedicated people professionals who volunteer to create a more inclusive and connected world of work.

This year, the Trust supported 801 individuals through mentoring programmes, bursaries, and webinars. You can read some of their inspiring stories in the 2023-24 Impact Report.

This year also marked 20 years of the CIPD online Community, which continues to offer guidance and connection to 20,000 professionals worldwide.

Our website also reached 3.3 million visitors and media coverage of the profession has grown significantly, with more recognition in the UK, Ireland, the Middle East, and Asia.

‘’We want everyone in our community to feel the value of professionalism. We want you to feel that we’re your professional home, your career partner and your biggest advocate. We will continue to champion you, as you champion better work and working lives.’’
