Nicky Hope, Engagement Manager for the Midlands

Nicky Hope is the CIPD’s Engagement Manager for the Midlands, dedicated to bringing people professionals together by building networks, creating opportunities to connect, and ensuring the community feels supported.

Based in the Midlands, Nicky is deeply committed to supporting the profession in the region. Outside of work, Nicky enjoys hiking with two enthusiastic spaniels and spending time on the rugby field—whether playing or coaching, a passion that has spanned over 30 years.

Regional HR Leaders Network

The HR Leaders Network is a space for the most senior people professionals in the Midlands. It is designed for those in board-level or executive roles with organisation-wide responsibility for people strategy – such as HR Directors, People Directors, Chief HR Officers, and Chief People Officers.

Senior People Professionals Network

For CIPD members at Chartered Member level or above, this network is for those with strategic responsibility for people and organisational policy in the Midlands.

It provides a trusted space to share insights, reflect on challenges, and strengthen leadership resilience. Members join an active online community on Mighty and benefit from a year-round programme of Scottish and national events, both in person and online.

Typical roles include Head of HR, Senior HR Business Partner, or People Lead – often reporting to the board or executive level and shaping people strategy and organisational culture.
