Welcome to our branch

The Northamptonshire branch promotes CIPD’s mission to champion better work and working lives across the county. Northamptonshire is a key logistics hub for the region, and we’ve seen massive growth in distribution, high-tech engineering, and associated industries. We are an active branch with almost 1,800 people professionals from all sectors. In an exciting time, our role is to support you, our members, as you help your organisations navigate the opportunities and challenges ahead.

I began leading the branch in Summer 2022 with a co-chair. I am an HR consultant and have been an active member of the committee for many years. I am very ably assisted by the branch committee, made up the of the special interest group chairs and branch secretary who meet regularly to shape the events programme.

I hope to welcome you to a Northamptonshire branch event soon.

Whatever your interests or specialism and wherever you are on your career pathway, our calendar of topical events and networking opportunities will help you to develop your knowledge and expertise, add value to your organisation and develop a strong network of people professionals across a range of industries.

We are also part of an energetic Midlands network of branches and have developed insightful, collaborative relationships with other professional bodies in the county. Therefore, we offer many opportunities for continuous learning, sharing inspiration and broadening your practice, knowledge, and skills.

Our branch committee of local CIPD members meet regularly to plan and shape our programme of events. Please browse our Eventbrite listings to find out more about one-off events or regular specialist forums. Or if you don’t find what you’re looking for, let us know, or better still, join our branch committee and help shape the future!

Joining a branch committee is an excellent way to expand your network and extend your skillset. Roles are voluntary and you can decide the level of commitment you are able to offer. So, if you are interested, please have a chat with a committee member when you are next at a branch event or contact us by email.
