Take ownership of your learning and enhance your professional practice.
As a member of the CIPD you’re internationally recognised as a people professional at the forefront of knowledge and learning, a status you maintain through your commitment to CPD.
This commitment reflects positively on you as an individual member, the organisation you work for or with, and the profession as a whole. It’s a commitment that contributes to the reputation of the people profession. Look at our CPD policy to understand your commitment to us as a CIPD member, and our commitment you as your professional body.
Recording your CPD is a key part of your membership, and part of what your digital badge and credentials signify.
We audit a sample of our members annually - find out more.
CPD is the learning experiences which help you develop and improve your professional practice. This can include building on your strengths, as well as developing yourself where you have capability gaps. Your ongoing professional development doesn’t come just from formal or course-based learning, it comes from anything that helps you to develop and improve your practice, such as podcasts, reading, conversations, social media or meetings.
Use the CPD Cycle to start your development.
