The CIPD Trust is calling on more people professionals to join their volunteering community and help support individuals facing challenges in finding work.

Over the past year, more than 800 people from underrepresented groups have been supported in starting or advancing their careers, thanks to the dedication of CIPD Trust volunteers from across the UK.

"Volunteering, your professional skills not only helps others, but also offers valuable personal and career growth.  It’s a chance to give back, develop, and inspire positive change in the workplace.  Join our amazing community and make a real difference”.

Sally Eley, Head of CIPD Trust

Current volunteer opportunities include speaking at job search webinars, helping individuals enter or restart their careers, or mentoring aspiring future leaders in the people profession.

Volunteering with the CIPD Trust offers a chance to make a lasting impact by inspiring positive workplace change. Among the 475 current volunteers, 63% have applied their experience to enhance their own workplaces, 69% saying mentoring has helped their professional life and 31% have reported improvements in self-confidence, wellbeing, and overall happiness.

“As a mentor, I am more aware of the recruitment issues faced by individuals and the need for greater understanding by organisations of the untapped potential.  I have also learned so much about seeing the world through the eyes of someone with different challenges to me”.
