The CIPD is inviting people professionals and leaders around the world to join one of several dedicated workplace wellbeing events over the coming weeks.

With workplace wellbeing increasingly recognised as a crucial issue, attendees of these events can expect a wide range of expert insights and discussions to support them in taking an evidence-based approach to their wellbeing strategies.

Championing women’s health and reproductive health at work

First up is a special webinar on 15 September that focuses on how organisations can better support employees with their reproductive health. From menstrual health and fertility challenges to managing the menopause, too many people still face barriers that affect their confidence, career progression and even their ability to stay in work.

Chaired by the CIPD’s Rachel Suff, the free event features campaigner Mariella Frostrup, Claudia Nicholls, Chief Customer Officer at Simplyhealth and Kevin Lyons, Senior HR Manager at Pearson. They’ll share practical advice on creating open, supportive workplace cultures – and attendees will have the chance to ask their own questions.

Explore wellbeing by design with the CIPD in Ireland

Then on 7 October, the CIPD team in Ireland hosts its annual Wellbeing Conference in Croke Park, Dublin. The event’s theme is ‘Wellbeing by design’ – a crucial theme for the people profession as we focus on creating workplaces where everyone can thrive throughout their working lives.

The conference is a perfect opportunity for people professionals and leaders to move beyond good intentions. They’ll come away feeling equipped to embed wellbeing into their organisations and the way they lead their teams.

Together, we’ll examine how organisations can integrate wellbeing into their culture, leadership style, reward strategy and workplace systems, to drive meaningful and measurable outcomes.

Transforming workplace wellbeing for a healthier future

HR professionals and wellbeing experts will also come together at our Wellbeing at Work Conference in London on 20 October. This one-day event is designed to help leaders and people professionals create a healthier, more resilient workplace.

Visitors will have an invaluable opportunity to connect with others, hear from inspirational speakers and develop actionable strategies to make a meaningful impact in their workplaces.

Resources to help you make wellbeing a strategic business priority

The subject of workplace wellbeing is more important than ever. Recent CIPD research shows that sickness absence continues to rise in the UK – and we know stress, burnout and mental health are heavily linked to attendance and retention.

Faced with this evidence, wellbeing must be seen as a strategic business priority. Our research shows that while organisations are working to prioritise wellbeing, there’s much more to be done.

People professionals are perfectly positioned to lead the development of healthy, high-performing workplaces, but need support to prioritise their own wellbeing too. We aim to equip people professionals to both lead effective wellbeing strategies for others and sustain their own health, resilience and impact.

We’ve collated a wide range of practical guidance and helpful tools to support you - whatever stage your organisation is at.
