Welcome to our branch

I became chair of the CIPD Branch in Lincolnshire early in 2024. I have over 20 years of HR experience in the NHS, local government, the rail industry and now construction, where I support 12 divisions and lead a team of nine. My experience includes casework, recruitment, engagement, culture and inclusion, leadership and change management, organisational development and learning and development.

Additionally, I am a qualified teacher, Occupational Psychologist and a mum. One of my many passions is British Sign Language, which I used to teach.

In Lincolnshire, we aim to grow the expertise of people professionals and share knowledge. We demonstrate the value of CIPD membership to individuals and organisations by providing a range of branch activities with opportunities to network with other like-minded individuals, enhance your CPD, and remain up to date with evolving HR issues through events, newsletters, and our branch mentoring scheme.

If you would like to get involved with the branch by joining the committee and sharing your skills, offering us a venue for events, or suggesting event topics or articles for our newsletter, then please do get in touch with me or any of the committee members. Whatever level of involvement you want, we have no doubt you will find it valuable and enjoyable.

The Lincolnshire branch committee works hard to provide a diverse schedule of events, enabling us all to share the benefit and expertise of a range of high-profile speakers and leaders in our profession. Our events year runs from September through to July.

The committee of a lively, passionate and dedicated volunteers devise and run the annual programme of events. We're fortunate to be supported by local organisations, universities and colleges so most of these events will take place on supporters’ premises. We also schedule several topical webinars, which can be booked via Eventbrite so please look out for these and join in.

Our committee work towards raising our profile locally and helping deliver a diverse range of events for our members in line with our vision and strategic priorities. We welcome applications from CIPD members to continue developing the branch by sharing your skills and joining our committee.

Volunteer committee members generally provide between one and three hours per week dependent on their role and where we are in the programme calendar. This includes attending committee meetings which take place every six weeks. If you are interested in expanding your network and finding out more, come along to one of our events and speak with one of our committee members or get in touch via email. There will either be opportunities available immediately, or we may ask you to join our waiting list so that we can contact you when a role becomes available that matches your skills. We will ask you to complete a short application form so that we can find out more about you and the skills you have to offer. You can read more below.
