Welcome to our branch

Thank you for visiting the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire Branch page. We serve a handful of members, and our volunteer committee creates local opportunities for CPD and networking with our local members.

As the Chair of the CIPD North Staffordshire and South Cheshire branch, I’m delighted to tell you that my fellow committee members are continually developing and sourcing an exciting series of events to promote member and potential member engagement in the geographical area assigned to the branch. Our ethos is that by Championing Better Work and Working Lives, we can support you in your everyday role and help you further your career, both through CPD, and by networking with other people professionals in our area.

Get involved

We cover a wide geographical area, which has a broad mix of employment, and therefore, HR professionals at all levels, within our catchment. This enables learning and networking in a dynamic environment.

We run a regular programme of events designed to cover all aspects of the CIPD’s strategic priorities, to build capability and engagement amongst our members. Among these are our particularly successful events around CIPD membership benefits and progression and our ever-popular site visits.

We are active participants in working collaboratively with other branches in the Midlands region, contributing to learning opportunities for our members.

We're looking for volunteers to join the branch committee, to help us take the branch forward, to raise our profile locally, and to help us deliver an interactive programme of events that is tailored to our members’ needs. If you would like to know more, or get involved, please email the branch so you can have a chat with a committee member. Read more about branch volunteering below.

Networking and learning

With workshops, round tables, panel discussions and expert speakers, our thought-provoking events cover everything our community needs. Network, learn and stay up to date.
