Welcome to our branch

Welcome to our branch where we bring HR and learning and development professionals in Lancashire together to network, contribute their views, and share best practice. With almost 3,000 local members, volunteers and stakeholders, we’re uniquely placed as Lancashire’s experts in HR and learning and development policies and practice.

We work with employers, other professional bodies, and local and national government, but keep our members at the heart of everything we do. Our branch events are an excellent opportunity to listen to our members' viewpoints and hear about the professional challenges we all face.

As a branch we aim to champion better workplaces and more fulfilling working experiences.

I have been working as an HR professional for nearly two decades and during this time have developed a keen interest in transformational change and employee relations. I am passionate about mental wellbeing, for both adults and young people and am a qualified mental health first aider and youth mental health first aid instructor, so you can expect to see wellbeing themes explored in our branch activities.

Joining our branch events will contribute to your continuing professional development. Joining our branch committee will do the same and expand your network. You can read more about how to do both below. I hope to see you at a Lancashire branch event soon.

Our branch is run by a committee of Lancashire-based CIPD members. Sometimes we look for more volunteers to join the committee to continue to take the branch forward, raise our profile and help deliver a diverse range of events for our members. If you're interested in finding out more, the best place to start is by coming along to one of our events where you can speak with one of our committee members. There will either be opportunities available immediately, or we may contact you when a role becomes available that matches your skills.

You are welcome to contact the branch with your suggestions, ideas for events or networks and topics you would like to see us cover or to contribute your time and expertise by speaking at a branch event.
