Welcome to our branch

I am delighted to welcome you to our Humber branch webpage. You can find details of your branch committee below. We are always delighted to welcome anyone interested in getting involved in our branch activities, either as a one-off or on a more regular basis. Please get in touch if you want to chat about this. 

We have all faced volatile and challenging times recently. But what a great time to be involved in the people profession within the Humber region! Our profession is key to realising the potential of our region to find, retain, reward and develop the talent which will make us successful.

I encourage you to get involved in any way you can, including attending our branch events where you can chat to our committee members and make suggestions on how we can make your branch even more effective, perhaps by sharing your skills.

Please also keep in touch with us via our social media channels. I look forward to speaking to you at one of our next CIPD Humber Branch events, whether it is the first time you attend, or you are one of our regular supporters.

Get involved

Our branch mission is to support the CIPD by providing a forum for all people professionals in the Humber region that:

  • contributes to the development and promotion of good practice in the field of management and development of people by providing accessible opportunities for continuing professional development
  • supports local educational institutions that provide programmes for our student members 
  • acts as a voice of CIPD members in the Humber region and
  • promotes and upholds excellent working practices within human resource management and development.

Our committee is run by volunteers who are elected every year at our annual meeting. If you are interested in learning more about our activities or would like to get involved, or if you have a suggestion for an event topic that may be of interest to the branch members, please do get in touch with us.
