Welcome to our branch

Hi, I'm Philippa Hardy and I'm delighted to be your chair of the CIPD Branch in Cumbria. I have been a Chartered Member for over 20 years and have been teaching the level 3 and 5 CIPD professional programmes for the last 10 years. My people management background is mostly public sector, having worked across education, health and local government. It is a real privilege to be elected into this Chair role, working alongside a small team of talented and committed people professionals.
We are all working together on your behalf to strengthen the people network across the whole of Cumbria, delivering events which are relevant to the changing workforce and people needs of Cumbria and amplifying the voice of Cumbrian people professionals.

We are looking to expand our impact in the early careers space to promote people management as a profession. Can you help us? Please get in touch if you can contribute to this agenda.

If there is anything we are not doing that you think we should be - please reach out. Our committee meetings are open to all members, and we would really welcome your views and support as a fellow committee member.

Philippa Hardy, Chartered MCIPD
