CIPD Learning hub FAQs

CIPD members and anyone who has purchased courses from the CIPD Learning shop can access the Learning hub at www.learninghub.cipd.org using your CIPD login details.

Please note: 

New or re-joining members - your Learning hub access should be ready within 24 hours.

If you purchased a CIPD Learning course on the CIPD learning shop – you’ll be able to access it straight away.

Accessing the Learning hub on your mobile or tablet

• Download the Brightspace Pulse App from the App Store or Google Play
• When asked ‘Who provides your learning’ search CIPD Learninghub.cipd.org and log in with your CIPD details.
• Once logged in, you’ll see your courses and can navigate to the Learning hub homepage.
• The app supports portrait and landscape views—enable auto-rotate on your device.

Please note: The Brightspace Pulse App offers limited functionality. For full access, log in via your mobile or tablet browser as you would on desktop.

 

What you’ll find on the Learning hub

• Access purchased courses from the CIPD Learning shop.
• CIPD Members also have access to free member courses. This includes Essential Insights, Introductory Programme courses and CIPD’s Career Support Toolkit.
• All Learning hub users get access to our CPD tools to plan and track your learning:
• Self-assessment tool – Identify knowledge gaps and get tailored learning recommendations.
• Learning Plan – Track your progress.
• My CPD Records – Record and reflect on your learning.

Here's some troubleshooting suggestions to follow if experiencing issues with the Learning hub.

• If you’ve just joined/re-joined as a member, your Learning hub access should be ready within 24 hours.
• If you’ve purchased a CIPD Learning course or Accredited Programme from our online shop, you should be able to access it straight away.
• Make sure you’re logging into the right account. You'll need to use the same login credentials you'd use to access the main CIPD website. If you’ve forgotten your password or need to change it, you can reset your password here. This will change the password for both the Learning hub and the main CIPD website.  
• Try to access the Learning hub on a different web browser.
• Make sure the firewall on your device is not blocking the site. If using a work device, you’ll need to contact your IT department.  
• Delete the cookies and cache on your device.
• See if the issue is related to the device you’re using. If possible, try to access the platform using a different device and/or internet connection.

You can buy CIPD learning courses on the CIPD Learning shop.

CIPD members get a 15% discount on CIPD learning courses. CIPD Members also have access to free member courses. This includes Essential Insight, Introductory Programme courses and CIPD’s Career Support Toolkit. These are already available to access on the Learning hub, simply log in.

There are a few reasons why you may not be able to access a course or course content:

• The course or content has a set start or end date and therefore is not yet or no longer available to access. Please check your course details to see if this applies. 
• You might need to complete an assessment or a specific module to release the content. 
• If you have multiple CIPD accounts, make sure you are logging into the right account.
• If no longer a CIPD member, you’ll no longer have access to the free member content, and your course progress may be lost.

Sometimes the log out screen can get stuck and does not redirect you to the CIPD homepage. Even if you're not automatically redirected, you'll have been successfully logged out. There is a link below the loading circle that you can use to redirect yourself to the CIPD homepage.
