Learn, collaborate and network with CIPD members and people professionals in South London
Our branch's mission is to encourage and support the interests of CIPD members and wider people professionals within the South London Branch by providing support and advice, sharing knowledge, facilitating networking, promoting continuing learning and development and advocating for CIPD. We represent the views of our members and represents the diversity of our members. We aim to look after the interests of people professionals across South London.
At the South London Branch, we continue to work hard to provide a diverse and comprehensive schedule of free and low-cost events for our members, enabling us all to share the benefit and expertise of a range of high-profile speakers and leaders in our profession.
We value our members' contribution to our HR community and welcome ideas as to how to continue to meet the needs of people professionals at all levels. Currently, we're focusing on the following key themes:
Dr Anita McGowan MBE, Chartered FCIPD
Branch Chair
Our members rate their access to a local branch in their top three membership benefits. Come along to our branch events to discover other CIPD benefits. Explore the issues and trends impacting our profession. Network, learn and share ideas with people professionals in our area.
Our branch’s geographical area covers the Croydon, Sutton, Lambeth and Southwark postcodes and has around 3.400 members. We work together with branches across London to serve our members, people professionals outside CIPD membership and business leaders by engaging them in conversations about good practice in HR, L&D and OD, understanding the professionalisation of our areas and bringing Good Work closer to organisations.
Our priorities for the upcoming year include:
Our online branch events can be watched afterwards via YouTube.
We're always looking for passionate volunteers from all levels of CIPD membership and experience as our constituency covers students and studying members, right through to senior practitioners at Chartered Fellow. We believe that the team should reflect the profession's diversity so everyone has something to offer and contribute.
