Welcome to our branch

A warm welcome to the East London and Docklands branch webpage, where below you can register for our upcoming branch events and learn more about our committee and core aims. We are a diverse and inclusive committee and welcome ideas for future events and requests to join the committee.

Our core aim is to provide a comprehensive programme of events tailored for our branch members in the East London and Docklands area. As such, we recognise the broad range of people management priorities in this diverse business community. We aim to ensure that events are designed in an inclusive and participatory manner and that our programme is flexible to ensure we address the most pressing HR issues of our time. Another key aim is to ensure events have a series of practical takeaways and people professionals can embed key insights into their organisations.

On behalf of the committee, we look forward to meeting you at upcoming events and please do share your ideas and feedback for events and branch activities.

The East London and Docklands branch geographically covers some of the most diverse and dynamic business communities in the UK. Covering the Stratford area and the fast-paced developments at the 2012 Olympic Park, through to the ongoing developments in the Docklands and Royal Docks areas close to the Thames. Our branch members work in people roles for some of the largest organisations in the world, through to start-ups and thriving family and small businesses. The region also has several academic CIPD centres offering all levels of CIPD qualifications.

The branch works closely with the universities, colleges and independent qualification providers in the region, and we seek to support our strong CIPD student membership base through tailored branch activities.

Our online branch events can be watched afterwards via YouTube.

We would love to hear from you if you would like to join the committee, become a friend of the committee or have an idea for a branch event.
