The EHRC consultation looks into the code of practice (the Code) and how this can be improved for organisations to use in compliance of Equality Act 2010.

  • The importance of the Code to all organisations of all sizes, and to understand the clear guidance that organisations should be following under the Equality Act 2010
  • How the EHRC can strengthen its enforcement and guidance for organisations about how to develop their own policies and support their employees to comply with the requirements of the Equality Act 2010
  • We highlight the key changes EHRC should make to strengthen the Code and make it easier for organisations, employees and the public for example greater accessibility, plain language and updating information.
