Annual meeting with a wellbeing event for HR professionals because HR professionals need support too
HR professionals spend their working lives supporting others through challenge, change and uncertainty – often while carrying significant emotional and organisational load themselves. But who looks after HR?
This session will be talking about the mental health challenges faced in today’s society, the impact of not looking after yourself as HR professionals, what happens to your body when you are stressed or anxious, the link between stress and ill-health, how to manage stress and anxiety (with lots of practical tips) and the benefits of self-care.
It will be a 45 minutes talk with 15 minutes for Q&A.
It offers a rare opportunity to step back from operational demands, reflect honestly on personal resilience and boundaries. It will consider practical ways HR professionals can protect their own wellbeing, set healthier boundaries, and build sustainable support networks.
This is not a technical update or compliance session. It is a supportive, practical conversation designed to help HR professionals pause, reconnect with their purpose, and leave feeling heard, validated and better equipped to look after themselves as well as others.
The event will be followed by he CIPD branch in West Yorkshire's annual meeting to confirm new committee members and share updates and highlights.
