Event for members to learn about support available for hiring ex forces staff and about apprenticeships and talent
Join CIPD West Yorkshire for an insightful session with The 5% Club and members of its Armed Forces special interest group, exploring how organisations can better attract, recruit, support and retain members of the Armed Forces community.
Learn about the work of the 5% club and the support they offer to organisations that you may be missing out on accessing.
The session will look at the value that Service leavers, veterans, reservists and military spouses can bring to the workplace, while also considering some of the challenges they can face when transitioning into civilian employment.
Attendees can expect to hear practical insights, employer perspectives and examples of good practice, with discussion covering areas such as recruitment, skills recognition, workplace support, career development and creating an inclusive environment for Armed Forces talent.
The event will provide HR and people professionals with a greater understanding of how they can strengthen their approach to Armed Forces recruitment and employment, identify opportunities within their own organisations and learn from others already working to support this important talent pool.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, learn how you can get involved and connect with fellow professionals interested in improving employment outcomes for the Armed Forces community.
