About this event

Join Offploy to explore how inclusive recruitment can unlock talent, reduce barriers to work and support people with convictions

Join CIPD West Yorkshire for an online event with Offploy, exploring how employers and HR professionals can create more inclusive recruitment practices and support people with convictions into meaningful and sustainable employment.

The session will provide insight into the barriers that people with convictions can face when looking for work, alongside the important role that employers can play in creating fairer opportunities and accessing an often-overlooked pool of talent.

Attendees will hear from Offploy about their work with individuals and employers, the benefits of inclusive recruitment and the practical steps organisations can take to develop more confident and effective approaches to recruiting people with convictions.

The session will explore topics including:

  • Understanding the barriers faced by people with convictions when entering or returning to the workplace
  • The business case for more inclusive recruitment practices
  • Challenging misconceptions and reducing stigma
  • Practical considerations for employers and HR teams
  • Creating supportive recruitment and onboarding processes
  • How organisations can balance inclusive recruitment with appropriate risk management
  • Examples of good practice and the support available to employers

Attendees will leave with a greater understanding of how inclusive employment can support both individuals and organisations, as well as practical ideas they can take back to their own workplaces.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and learn more about how Offploy works with employers to help unlock opportunities for people with convictions.
