Researchers used a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to explore the differences in job quality experienced by working parents compared with those without children. The study went further to specifically examine the experiences of working mothers compared with working fathers. The research was undertaken between 2021 and 2024 using a range of data sources dating from 1996 to 2022.
