Welcome to our branch

Thank you for visiting our branch page and for your interest in being part of a vibrant local community of people professionals. We have a handful of members in the region, spread across a wide geographical area of Fife, Forth Valley and Tayside. Our committee volunteers work to deliver a range of engaging events to champion better work and working lives. Members are at the heart of everything we do in the branch, and we aim to listen, deliver and connect with our members to provide content and resources that benefit you.

Whether you’re currently studying, working in the people profession or a manager or leader, we believe you can benefit most from your membership by actively participating in the branch activities. This may be through attending events, contributing to our newsletters, participating in our online discussions, partnering and supporting our activities. We are keen to share local stories, and if you have one to share, we'd love to hear from you.

If you would like to learn more about the branch or share any feedback or ideas, we would love to hear from you.

Get involved

We deliver for our members based on feedback from our local branch survey; we are currently focused on delivering across five cluster topic areas:

  1. Employee Relations
  2. Change
  3. Culture
  4. Skills & Capability
  5. Strategic HR

Our events are a mix of practical, inspiring and community focused. If you have ideas for improving what we have to offer or if you think we can help you with any aspect of your career or your continuing development, please contact us.

We have a core of dedicated volunteers who help organise branch activities and help our members to develop and learn as people professionals. We're always looking for more volunteer members so, should you want to get involved, please get in touch.

Agile volunteering

Our branch wants to involve as many members as possible with helping to improve how our branch listens and delivers for members. We've introduced an agile volunteering approach that gives members the opportunity to volunteer to take part in agile sprints to deliver specific improvement projects using agile working approaches - a great way for members to get involved with the branch, learn new skills AND help us improve.

Local speakers

We love to hear from our local members to speak at our events, sharing best practice, successes and learning journeys. If you have a story you could share we would love to hear from you.

Member listening

Our members are at the heart of everything we do. Our annual members feedback survey helps drive our plan for the following year in terms of topics, locations and the format for you to engage with the branch.

Networking and learning

With workshops, round tables, panel discussions and expert speakers, our thought-provoking events cover everything our community needs. Network, learn and stay up to date.
