Welcome to our branch

Welcome to our branch page. I became Chair of the CIPD Lincolnshire Branch in early 2026. I have over ten years’ experience across HR and stepped into a dedicated People Lead role five years ago. After committing fully to a career in HR, I completed my CIPD Level 5 and later achieved an MSc in Human Resource Management at the University of Hull.

I work across all areas of HR, with a particular focus on staff wellbeing and creating a positive, supportive working environment. I believe people perform at their best when the right support is in place.

I joined the CIPD committee in 2025 after finishing my studies, having missed the connection with other professionals. Following a year as Branch Secretary, I was pleased to step into the Chair role. My focus is to support the continued growth of the branch alongside our dedicated committee volunteers.

In Lincolnshire, we aim to grow the expertise of people professionals and share knowledge. We demonstrate the value of CIPD membership through a range of activities, including networking opportunities, CPD, and insights on evolving issues via events, newsletters and our mentoring scheme.

If you would like to get involved by joining the committee, offering a venue, or suggesting event topics or newsletter content, please get in touch with me or a member of the team. Whatever your level of involvement, we are confident you will find it both valuable and enjoyable.

Get involved

The Lincolnshire branch committee works hard to provide a diverse schedule of events, enabling us all to share the benefit and expertise of a range of high-profile speakers and leaders in our profession. Our events year runs from September through to July.

The committee of a lively, passionate and dedicated volunteers devise and run the annual programme of events. We're fortunate to be supported by local organisations, universities and colleges so most of these events will take place on supporters’ premises. We also schedule several topical webinars, which can be booked via Eventbrite so please look out for these and join in.

Our committee work towards raising our profile locally and helping deliver a diverse range of events for our members in line with our vision and strategic priorities. We welcome applications from CIPD members to continue developing the branch by sharing your skills and joining our committee.

Volunteer committee members generally provide between one and three hours per week dependent on their role and where we are in the programme calendar. This includes attending committee meetings which take place every six weeks. If you are interested in expanding your network and finding out more, come along to one of our events and speak with one of our committee members or get in touch via email. There will either be opportunities available immediately, or we may ask you to join our waiting list so that we can contact you when a role becomes available that matches your skills. We will ask you to complete a short application form so that we can find out more about you and the skills you have to offer. You can read more below.
