This mock WRC hearing will provide a safe, practical environment for HR Practitioners to understand legal processes, improve decision-making

This event will cover the full process of a Workplace Relations Commission hearing, giving participants a realistic experience of what happens in practice. Common areas include:

  • Case Preparation – Witness statements and understanding roles of adjudicator, employee (complainant), employer (respondent).
  • WRC Procedure – Presenting evidence, examination and cross-examination.
  • Practical Skills – Questioning techniques, managing evidence, and handling objections.
  • Common Pitfalls – Mistakes employers make and how to avoid them.

Judith Curran, of Counsel with Mason, Hayes & Curran in the Employment & Benefits team along with a member of the legal team will lead this event

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

  • HR professionals with ER & IR responsibilities
  • HR Managers and Business Partners supporting and navigating employee disputes and/or individuals who have an interest in exploring a specialism in Employee Relations and Industrial Relations.

Note that this event is free to attend for CIPD members, but registration is required.
