About this event

An evening with CIPD Southern Region & MTU exploring how AI is reshaping HR strategy and future-ready HR leadership.

HR Strategy in the Age of AI We’re delighted to invite you to an engaging and forward-looking evening exploring HR Strategy in the Age of AI, hosted by the CIPD Southern Region in partnership with MTU. As AI continues to reshape how organisations operate, this event is designed to help HR leaders step back, lift their gaze, and rethink what an effective, future-ready HR strategy now looks like.

Our keynote speaker, Niamh McNamara, Vice President of Global Employee Success Operations at Salesforce, will share insights from the front line of global HR transformation. Drawing on extensive experience across technology, FMCG and life sciences, Niamh will explore how AI is influencing workforce strategy, HR operating models and leadership capability and what this means for HR leaders shaping strategy in a rapidly evolving environment.

The keynote will be followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A, offering additional perspectives from industry and academia:

  • Clodagh Hogan, Head of HR Portfolio Management at The Citco Group Limited, will bring a practitioner’s lens on leading complex, enterprise-wide HR portfolios and translating strategic ambition into prioritisation, governance and delivery.
  • Patrick Shields, PhD researcher at MTU, will share emerging research on AI adoption, focusing on organisational readiness, governance, risk and the human dimensions of generative AI.

Together, the session will explore how HR leaders can balance opportunity and risk, build AI-ready capability, and ensure HR strategies remain human-centred, ethical and practical while responding to rapid technological change.

The evening also provides an opportunity to connect with fellow HR professionals, share experiences and discuss common challenges facing the profession.

Tea, Coffee and refreshments will be served during registration.

This event is kindly sponsored and hosted by MTU.

MTU representatives will be on hand to support attendees with parking.
