About this event

Connect with fellow consultants. Share expertise. Explore client challenges. Grow your impact.

The CIPD People Consultants Network is a dedicated community for CIPD members working independently or within consultancy firms, supporting organisations on a flexible, project-

based or advisory basis.

Whether you're delivering strategic advice, leading organisational change, supporting employee relations, advising on reward, wellbeing, EDI, organisational development or wider people challenges, this network provides a space to connect with others who understand the unique opportunities and realities of consultancy work.

Our quarterly online network meetings bring together people consultants from across the UK to share experiences, discuss emerging trends and build valuable professional connections.

Who is this network for?

This network is designed for CIPD members who work across multiple client organisations.

Whether you're an established consultant or recently transitioned into consultancy, you'll find a supportive community of peers who understand the challenges and opportunities of working across a diverse client base.

What to expect

These member-led quarterly meetings provide an opportunity to step away from client work and connect with fellow consultants in a trusted and collaborative environment.

Each session will include:

  • Discussion of key trends affecting clients and the people profession
  • Peer-to-peer sharing of experiences, challenges and lessons learned
  • Opportunities to explore consultancy approaches and good practice
  • Networking with consultants from a range of specialisms and sectors
  • Open discussions shaped by the interests and priorities of network members

Topics may include business development, managing client relationships, organisational change, leadership challenges, workforce issues, professional practice, emerging trends and the evolving role of consultancy within the people profession.

Why attend?

By joining the quarterly meetings, you'll be able to:

  • Build connections with fellow people consultants across the UK
  • Exchange ideas, experiences and practical advice with peers
  • Gain fresh perspectives on client challenges and market trends
  • Access a supportive professional community that understands consultancy life
  • Share insights from your work across different organisations and sectors
  • Contribute to CIPD's research and policy activity, helping ensure the consultant voice is represented in conversations shaping the future of the profession

Whether you're looking to expand your network, discuss common challenges, share expertise or learn from others working in consultancy, these sessions offer a valuable opportunity to connect and grow alongside your peers.

We look forward to welcoming you to the People Consultants Network.

Participating in the session

This is a member discussion session, not a webinar.

Our People Professional Network events are designed to help network members connect, collaborate and learn from one another through active participation and peer-to-peer discussion.

Throughout the session, attendees will participate in breakout room discussions with fellow network members, sharing experiences, challenges, ideas and practical solutions.

To get the most from the session, please come prepared to contribute to conversations and engage with your peers. You do not need to be an expert; the value comes from members learning together.

Joining instructions

You'll receive your joining instructions again before the event, along with a reminder shortly before the session starts.

Some events may include external speakers. Any views or opinions expressed are those of the speaker and do not necessarily reflect the views of the CIPD.
