Did you know one in four people have some kind of hearing loss?
This session will highlight some of the ways in which hearing loss affects people and provides tips on what employers can do.
This one hour event provides an introduction into Deaf Awareness training and will include:
It will provide people professionals, managers and employers with key information to understand the prevalence of hearing loss even if it doesn’t seem common in your workplace.
About the speaker
Suzi speaks from a professional and lived experience perspective. With training and qualifications across British Sign Language and a qualified teacher of deaf children and young people, Suzi started Oxford BSL to increase awareness and focus on her passion for deaf inclusion.
From training in Deaf awareness, hearing loss inclusion and British Sign Language right through to accessibility audits for the workplace Suzi supports employers and the community through this work.
