About this event

In this session we will cover the common reasons mental health can suffer in pregnancy & the aspects of the workplace that can exacerbate it

In this session we will cover the common reasons mental health can suffer in pregnancy and the aspects of the workplace that can exacerbate this. I will draw on my own and other research in this area to suggest priorities for HR professionals that wish to improve support during pregnancy so that attendees feel confident to make a positive change.

Agenda

· The myth of pregnancy vs the reality (how cultural expectations can silence people who are struggling)

· Common reasons mental health can nosedive in pregnancy

· The role of the workplace (impact of workplace culture, role conflict, attitude of managers and colleagues)

· What can we do – positive steps that can improve wellbeing at work for people struggling in pregnancy.

· The impact – the difference we can make when we intervene in pregnancy
