A discussion exploring contemporary health issues in the workplace and how we can aid policy development to support female employees.
Join us for an insightful panel discussion focusing on the contemporary health issues faced by female employees in today's workplace. The panel will explore a wide range of topics, including mental health, reproductive health, gender-specific stress factors, and work-life balance challenges. Leading experts will engage in thoughtful dialogue, sharing data-driven insights and personal experiences.
The event will also highlight strategies for developing effective workplace policies that support women's health and well-being, ensuring inclusivity, flexibility, and long-term career success. Attendees will leave with practical advice to advocate for and implement changes that foster healthier, more equitable workplaces.

Kathleen Riach
Kathleen Riach is Professor of Management at Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow and Honorary Professor at the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University, Australia. She is an internationally renowned expert on age discrimination in the workplace, with a focus on how the experience of ageing, health and gender intersects with professional lives and organizational cultures.
Professor Riach is chair convenor for the ISO forthcoming guidelines on menopause and menstrual health in the workplace, having also worked on the UK based BSI guidelines of the same name. As well as being a qualified strengths-based coach, she is UK delegate of the G20 engagement group for gender equality, the W20 and led the development of MIPO: an open access resource that helps line managers support menopausal women in the workplace that has to date been accessed more than 15,000 times across 52 countries. Kat has worked with a variety of organizations and government bodies and currently sits on the Scottish Government's menopause and menstrual health working party, having recently completed the AMMInO study of over 6,000 NHS workers to establish a best practice evidence base for supporting menopause and menstrual health at work.
Claire Ingle - Co-Founder, Head of People and Social Impact - Fertility Matters at Work
Claire is a HR professional and fertility advocate with a heart full of passion for people and a mission to make work experiences as positive and fair as possible. She is a firm believer that when people feel seen, heard and recognised at work they can shine both personally and professionally.
Claire’s ‘why’ comes from her own rollercoaster journey with fertility challenges, which has given her so much empathy for others in similar situations, with her personal experience fuelling her determination to push for better support and resources at work. Claire is passionate about supporting those navigating unique paths to parenthood and is our in-house HR expert for the fertility conversation, especially anything related to surrogacy. Keen to ensure everyone feels understood and supported, no matter their family-building journey, Claire is working hard to fill the gap in this conversation with her focus at FMAW being to help organisations recognise the legitimacy of alternative paths to parenthood and the understanding to put inclusive support in place. She strives to make a real difference in people’s lives and ensuring that the workplace is a welcoming and empowering space for everyone.
