This practical session will explore the impact that effective managers have on engagement, retention, culture, performance and organisational success, and the hidden costs of poor leadership and the “accidental manager” phenomenon.

About the speaker

Duncan Roke

Duncan Roke is a Director at Danton HR & Training and an experienced leadership and management development specialist with a passion for helping managers build confidence, capability and practical people skills.

Before moving into learning and development, Duncan was a professional rugby player, bringing first-hand experience of teamwork, resilience, performance and leadership under pressure. He has since worked with organisations across a range of sectors, supporting leaders to improve communication, manage performance, handle difficult conversations and create positive workplace cultures.

Known for his engaging and down-to-earth facilitation style, Duncan focuses on turning learning into practical action and helping managers become confident, people-focused leaders.
