The CIPD Branch in Chiltern is excited to launch a brand-new Special Interest Group dedicated to People Technology and AI. Open to CIPD members across the globe, this community is designed to spark ideas, share cutting-edge best practice, and bring you closer to insights from leading industry experts. Together, we’ll explore what’s possible—while fostering a spirit of curiosity, innovation, and continuous learning.
For our first event, we’re tackling a question many organisations are grappling with: how do you choose the right people technology for your business? Join our panel of experienced experts as they unpack key considerations for HR, LMS and ATS systems, share real-world experiences, and answer your questions—helping you navigate this critical decision with confidence.
About the speakers
Zoe Wilson – Director and Founder of ReThink HR
Zoe leads a team that helps organisations select, implement, and optimise their HR technology. With a background in generalist HR and a specialism in HR systems, she brings deep experience in guiding teams to get the best from their technology and ensuring their systems work as effectively as possible.
From identifying the right HR products through to preparing for and delivering successful implementations, Zoe has worked with a wide range of vendors, sectors, and organisation sizes. She has supported numerous HRIS transformations that deliver meaningful impact and leave teams proud of what they’ve achieved.
With years of hands-on experience and a passion for maximising the value of technology, Zoe leads her team with a strong people-first approach — making them not only highly knowledgeable, but also approachable, collaborative, and enjoyable to work with.
Pitul Khagran FCIPD – HR Director, Founder, CEO and NED
Pritul Khagram, FCIPD, is a former HR Director and recognised HR Technology expert with extensive experience helping organisations select and implement people technology solutions. Throughout his career, he has supported clients across HRIS, Payroll, Workforce Management, ATS, LMS and Performance Management systems, guiding complex transformation programmes ranging from advisor, selection through to delivery.
Pritul was the Founder and CEO of People Force, a specialist consultancy focused on HR technology transformation, which was acquired by PwC UK in 2023. Following the acquisition, he served as a Director within PwC’s HR Technology team until December 2024. Pritul previously also served on the committee of the Northants CIPD Branch, including one year as Vice Chair.
Today, Pritul has a portfolio career spanning multiple Board-level and fractional leadership roles. One of his roles is with Focus Cloud Group, where he leads their Tier 1 HR System Selection Service, helping organisations navigate critical HR technology decisions with confidence.
Joanne Ball - Founder of Ballpoint Learning
Jo has spent over 25 years improving learning, training, and people development within businesses of all sizes. Having worked with organisations across the globe in her former role as Head of L&D, Jo has led learning initiatives, supported major technology implementations, and managed learning platforms serving employees across multiple countries.
Throughout her career, Jo has worked across engineering, construction, and manufacturing environments, supporting everything from compliance and onboarding through to large-scale ERP implementations.
An advocate for all Learning Tech, Jo enjoys helping organisations understand what different learning technologies do, where they fit, and how to get employees actively using them. Whether it's an LMS, content library, digital adoption platform or authoring tool, Jo believes learning technology should add value to businesses, not simply add another system to manage. Her approach is practical, commercially focused, and centred on helping organisations get the most from the tools they've invested in.
Tina Vale – HR Technology Project Manager at Bud HR
Tina is an experienced HR professional with over 30 years in the field, with a particular focus on HR systems and HR transformation. She has supported a wide range of HRIS implementation and change programmes, helping organisations navigate the practical realities of system delivery, process improvement, and adoption. Tina is passionate about making technology work for people as well as HR teams, and brings a practical, honest perspective to how transformation really lands in organisations.
