Post-election update for Wales and what it means for HR, plus all Wales branch annual meeting.
Following the outcome of the Senedd election, this session will explore what the new political landscape means for the people profession in Wales. With potential changes to government priorities, legislation and funding, people professionals will play a key role in supporting organisations to respond effectively.
Join us for a timely update on employment policy and workforce trends, with practical insights to help you prepare for what’s ahead.

As part of the session, we will also hold the Wales Branch Annual Meeting, bringing together the branches in South East, South West and Mid & North Wales. This will include reflecting on the past year, sharing plans for the year ahead, and holding the annual committee elections.

Marek Zemanik, Senior Public Policy Adviser (UK Nations), CIPD
Marek joined the CIPD in October 2019. He leads the CIPD’s public policy work in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, focusing primarily on fair work, skills and productivity. Prior to joining the CIPD, Marek spent nearly a decade working at the Scottish Parliament as a political adviser responsible for policy-making across devolved areas of public policy.
