Speakers bio:

Cameron Martin, Senior Economist, CBI

Cameron is a Senior Economist in the Economic Intelligence team, where he helps shape the organisation’s macroeconomic narrative. His work focuses on the CBI’s flagship business surveys, economic forecast, and financial market analysis. Cameron also oversees the development of member-facing economic products and regularly engages with senior business leaders through CBI Councils and events across the UK.


Before joining the CBI in 2022, Cameron held a range of public sector roles, including as an economist at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). He also worked internationally as an Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellow, advising Liberia's Ministry of Finance and Development Planning on debt, fiscal, and aid policy. He holds an MSc in Economics from SOAS, University of London.


Could I also double check the format. My understanding is that it’s 10-12 minutes from me on the economic outlook, and then maybe some Q&A afterwards.
