About this event

This is an introduction to how AI is going to integrate into the world of HR.

This practical 90-minute overview session is designed for people professionals who want to understand how artificial intelligence is already being used in the workplace and what it means for people, policies and decision-making.

AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude are now widely accessible and increasingly used informally by employees, often without visibility or governance. For HR teams, this creates both an opportunity to improve efficiency and a responsibility to manage risks around data protection, bias and employee trust.

The session introduces AI in plain business language, including the growing role of Autonomous AI Agents systems that can carry out multi-step tasks with limited supervision and what this means for how work is organised and managed.

Through practical demonstrations, delegates will see how AI can support HR tasks such as policy drafting, employee communications and day-to-day administration, while understanding where human judgement must remain in control.

We will also explore key considerations around GDPR and the EU AI Act, including transparency, accountability and human oversight, helping HR professionals understand what “responsible AI use” looks like in practice.

By the end of the session, delegates will have a clear, realistic understanding of where AI can add value today, where caution is required, and what practical steps HR teams should take next.
