A practical, interactive HR session exploring real workplace challenges, difficult decisions and useful lessons for HR practice.
Join the CIPD Branch in CIPD West London for an open and insightful evening of real HR experiences, the kind you do not find in textbooks. No theory. No polish. Just real cases, real decisions and real consequences that did not stay contained.
From hires that unravelled teams to conflicts that escalated beyond control, this session explores what happens when judgement slips, processes fail and warning signs are missed. You will see the true cost.
You will hear directly from professionals who have lived such moments. You will dissect what went wrong, challenge the decisions made and uncover what should have happened instead. No safe answers. No rehearsed narratives. Just honest reflection and sharp learning.
This is a face-to-face event designed to be participative and highly interactive. Bring your perspective. Test your thinking. Share your own stories. Leave with a clearer instinct for what to avoid when it matters most.
If you work in HR, this is part of the job. Whether you have faced it yet or not.
Who should attend?
This event is ideal for people professionals, people managers, line managers, consultants and students who want to learn from real workplace challenges and strengthen their practical judgement in HR situations.
