About this event

Embark on an insightful journey about how neuroscience can transform performance management.

This event is hosted jointly by the CIPD Branches in South West London and Wessex.

What actually happens in our brains during performance conversations?

Join us for an engaging exploration of how neuroscience can enrich and transform performance management practices. This session blends research‑based insights with practical examples and real‑world case studies, illustrating how neuroscience‑informed approaches have been successfully applied across different organisational settings. You’ll leave with concrete strategies you can adapt and use to enhance performance outcomes in your own organisation.

This event marks the launch of "From research to practice conversations", a new series of events developed through the collaboration between the CIPD and the University of Southampton. The series brings together academic experts from the Department of HR Management and Organisational Behaviour and industry practitioners and policy makers. Each session explores a key HR topic, combining rigorous research insights with practical perspectives to help bridge the gap between theory and practice.
