Following the hugely successful session held in October 2025, this is a follow up session with Herrington Carmichael to take us through the latest updates and the latest progress of the Employment Rights Bill.

Join us in-person at the office of Herrington Carmichael law firm in Farnborough on Wednesday 13 May 2026 where we will hear from Alistair McArthur, Partner - Head of Employment, and Darren Smith, Partner – Employment for a fun and information packed session to understand and unpack the upcoming Employment Rights Bill.


Points to be covered in the session include:

  • How and where the bill currently is,
  • Latest updates on the ERB
  • What this means for people professionals
  • Interactive Q & A session so please come prepared with your questions


There will also be an opportunity to meet local people professionals in the networking session before the main event and share insights!

About the speakers

Alistair McArthur, Partner - Head of Employment

Alistair is the Head of Employment team and has been ranked as ‘Leading Partner’ by Legal 500. He is an experienced Employment Lawyer with particular expertise in advising on and dealing with recruitment practices, terms and conditions of employment, discrimination and harassment, termination of contracts and dismissals, the enforcement of post-termination obligations, transfer of undertakings on acquisition and disposal of businesses, restructuring and redundancies

Darren Smith, Partner – Employment

Ranked as a ‘Leading Partner’ in the Legal 500, Darren Smith is an Employment Law Solicitor with a wealth of experience advising businesses and senior executives on Employment Law and HR related issues, focusing on solutions that work for them. Darren is well known for his expertise in the Leisure and Hospitality sector and has a lot of experience working with clients in that industry.
