Join us for our branch annual meeting
This will be our annual meeting including voting for committee members. We will then have a session on a mock initial tribunal hearing run by BG Solicitors followed by a 45-minute session on workplace wellbeing run by Peter Ison.

Peter Ison - Holistic Therapist
BG Solicitors LLP is a long‑established, full‑service law firm with offices across Lincolnshire and the Humber, offering clear, trusted and commercially focused legal advice to private and business client.
Ben Barber is the Firm’s managing Partner, and head of our Litigation and Employment Team. Ben has been with the Firm for 21 years and specialises in civil and commercial litigation, alongside employment matters. He also regularly acts as a Mediator.
Leah Heckles is an Associate Chartered Legal Executive within our Litigation and Employment Team and works alongside Ben. Leah has been with the Firm for almost 5 years and specialises in employment claims, and general dispute resolution/civil litigation.
Although both Ben and Leah operate out of our main Office in Grimsby, during the course of the average week they are both in the Hessle, Louth and Barton Offices.
Leah and Ben intend on taking you through the issues which arise once a claim is issued in the Employment Tribunal, with a particular focus on the Preliminary Hearing stage using a recent case example, and the current status of the Tribunals, and Courts. in England and Wales. This will be followed up with a short question and answer section dealing with any queries relating to employment or litigious issues.
