About this event

Join the branch for our Annual Meeting where we will provide the branch annual report.

Followed by an interactive workshop exploring how nutrition, energy and resilience habits can help HR professionals sustain themselves while supporting everyone else.

Sustaining the people who sustain others - why resilience starts with energy

We know that sustaining others starts with sustaining ourselves. Yet, many HR professionals spend much of their time supporting others - often putting other people’s oxygen masks on before their own.

In this interactive 70-minute workshop, Angela will explore the power of real-life nutrition for busy professionals, sharing practical insights into how what we eat can influence our energy, focus and resilience at work. Shona will introduce the concept of resilience strengths and reflect on her own journey of working with Angela, offering honest reflections on how small and sustainable shifts in wellbeing habits have helped her to show up more energy and confidence in her own career.

And because this session is about real life, not theory, there will also be some delicious treats to sample along the way!

Speakers:

Angela Macleod

Having spent nearly three decades serving with Police Scotland, rising through the ranks to retire as a Chief Inspector in 2022. Her policing career gave her a deep understanding of leadership, resilience, mental health and the pressures faced by people working in demanding environments.

Following her retirement, Angela retrained in personal training, nutrition, mindfulness and menopause support. She now works as a Female Health and Wellness Coach, specialising in helping women build strength, confidence and sustainable health habits in midlife and beyond.

Angela’s approach is honest, practical and evidence-based. By combining science with compassion and real-world experience, she empowers people to take ownership of their wellbeing, rediscover their energy and create a life that feels strong, balanced and fulfilling.
