Whistleblowing: guidance on using legislation and case law to ensure staff concerns are addressed fairly for all parties

Hannah Pryce and her colleagues will use their considerable knowledge of employment legislation and case law to show how organisations can best manage and respond to protected disclosures. The session will include a consideration of the parameters of the protection available for whistleblowers and what to do when confidentiality is breached.

This will be an interactive session, discussing practical examples as well as sharing good ideas for positive improvements for people professionals at work.

About the speakers

Hannah Pryce

Hannah Pryce provides employment law advice with expertise in tribunal litigation, including complex discrimination and whistleblowing claims. She delivers in-house training for clients particularly on Equality & Diversity and Anti-Bullying & Harassment. Hannah is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Anna Bithrey

Anna Bithrey brings and defends multi-claim employment tribunal cases. She advises on HR issues: disciplinaries, grievances, redundancy, family friendly rights and holiday pay. She drafs and negotiates service agreements, employment contracts and settlement agreements. Anna is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

James Pitts

James Pitts is an Associate in the employment law team, having completed his training contract with Howes Percival. James deals with employment law issues.

  • passion for learning: how your learning assists you to support othersinsights focused: how improving processes improves business outcomes
  • situational decision-making: how to respond to challenges from staff


This free event forms part of a series under the running title "HR Heroes" offering members a range of topical subjects for both generalists and specialists.
