Overview

This two-session event has been designed in direct response to CIPD South London member feedback, particularly around:

  • Burnout, self-care and mental wellbeing
  • Resilience and confidence in HR roles
  • HR identity, purpose and credibility
  • Finding and using one’s voice
  • The need for practical, applicable content
  • The value of honest discussion and shared lived experience


Each session is standalone and delivers value independently. Together, they provide a coherent journey from personal sustainability to professional impact.

The approach recognises the unique emotional and organizational pressures of HR roles and supports people professionals to remain both human and effective.


Session two

Focus

Session 2 is application focused.

It supports people professionals to apply insight and resilience to their day-to-day HR role, relationships and influence — particularly in environments of change, pressure and complexity.

Attendance at Session one is not required to gain value.

  • The link between HR wellbeing and professional credibility
  • How depletion impacts judgement, influence and decision-making
  • HR role clarity and boundaries
  • Managing expectations and accountability with leaders and managers
  • Using voice with confidence and integrity
  • HR identity, influence and “seat at the table” conversations

About the speaker

Claire Roberts

After hitting a massive burnout brick wall Claire’s corporate HR career ended and was forced to re-evaluate every aspect of her life. Her recovery journey led to Claire creating HR FOR HR, with a mission to impact and influence the HR profession to put their oxygen masks on first, and to answer the question ‘who looks after HR? by providing the HR profession with the same care, support and love that we in HR provide to others. She authentically shares her personal journey good, bad and ugly to demonstrate that HR are humans and employees too, as well as the tools she has created to support the profession to thrive.

Claire has a non-negotiable ‘whole person’ approach to the transformational coaching and consulting services she provides to HR individuals, teams and businesses, with core foundations encompassing physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. She radically improves culture and wellbeing, with prevention at the heart. With expertise in burnout prevention/recovery, confidence and resilience, Claire has a clear focus on both professional and personal pathways to progress and ensuring that ‘the basics’ are never overlooked in favor of the next shiny new thing.

Claire is hugely passionate about providing safe spaces to allow HR individuals and teams to explore and create lifelong change so that they thrive in multiple aspects of their lives, there are no papering over cracks or box ticking with Claire, just realistic and personalized results that genuinely make a difference.

Claire is a regular speaker both inside and outside of the HR profession, has won the CIPD Wales award for Outstanding Impact in HR, and the 2025 Coach of the Year at the British HR Awards. She is in the process of writing several books and is a self-confessed stationery and beetroot lover.

If you have already met Claire, you’ll know that her values are authenticity, empathy and passion, she is all about being real and therefore is pretty down to earth and is known for her informal style, so please feel free to show up as your whole self, she definitely will.
