AI is reshaping work. This practical session will help HR spot opportunities, tackle challenges and build confidence using AI tools today.
AI is changing work. The availability of end-user generative AI tools like ChatGPT means this is unlike any other tech roll-out. Any employee, anywhere can use tools that transform productivity.
As the HR profession, we are responsible for people. The new AI tools create new challenges and opportunities in terms of ethics, management, decision making, productivity, performance and many other areas. That’s big context and we may not feel ready to tackle those challenges. This session is intended to help.
We will aim for three things:
1. How does HR need to think about priorities and strategies to incorporate AI?
2. How can we use AI tools today to help us be more efficient and effective?
3. How can we build our own skills and confidence in the use of AI?
To do this, we will take a look at the whole colleague experience journey, highlighting some of the opportunities along the way. We will then look at some real specific examples, in order to show how we can use tools in practice.
And finally, we will open for a wider discussion on how AI tools could help attendees with their immediate priorities. The aim is to make this as practical as possible
Speaker:
Francis runs Green Juniper Limited, a consultancy focused on people and organisation development. He’s always worked hard to look at emerging trends and apply them. This includes introducing mindfulness for executives shortly after the financial crisis, introducing team-based continuous performance management in 2016 and designing post-covid ways of working in 2020-2021.
Most recently he’s been looking at AI and work - how do we use these incredible tools to help people have happier, healthier and more productive working lives? He has written guides for the CIPD on the subject of AI for HR, and spoken in Scotland and internationally on the subject.
His background is in Financial Services, with 16 years at Halifax/HBOS/Lloyds and six more at Clydesdale/Virgin Money. He set up his consultancy in 2022 and, since then, has worked across sectors including the arts, health, travel and tourism, tech and public sector.
