A practical workplace investigations clinic answering tricky questions on process, fairness, bias, evidence and confident decisions.
This event is designed for people professionals who handle workplace investigations and want practical, defensible approaches to complex issues. Drawing on legal, HR and neuroscience expertise, the session focuses on the real challenges investigators face—ambiguous evidence, human bias, competing narratives and high-pressure decisions.
Through expert insights and a live Q&A clinic, we’ll explore how to conduct investigations that are fair, robust and credible, while maintaining impartiality and confidence throughout the process.
Alongside Victoria Hall (Employment Lawyer) and Pam Cannell (Global HR Consultant), the session will feature Clive Hyland, Head of Neuroscience & Leadership Strategy at Impact Lawyers, who will share practical insights into the human factors that influence investigations and decision-making.

Victoria is an experienced employment lawyer, a Level 7 CIPD-qualified HR professional, accredited external workplace investigator, practising coach and a non-executive director.
Senior HR Consultant, seasoned, accredited workplace investigator, bringing real-world learning from complex HR investigations, including how to stay anchored to impartiality and make the toughest calls with confidence.
Clive is an established business and leadership coach, with extensive experience in corporate businesses, including roles as CEO and COO of major companies.
Since 2005 his interest has turned to neuroscience which he sees as offering an exceptional insight and fresh perspective on human behaviour, a subject about which he speaks at conferences across the world.
