About this event

An informative & empathetic session equipping HR professionals with knowledge & confidence to support employees affected by substance misuse

This session is part of our Unspeakable Series which is designed to build confidence, clarity, and capability for HR professionals navigating challenging situations.

This session will be delivered by Via Gloucestershire, who provide a range of services throughout the county. Via are a charity supporting people to transform their lives for the better, helping them to manage their health and wellbeing independently

Through this session, you will gain a grounded understanding of how substance misuse can present in the workplace, along with practical and compassionate approaches for initiating sensitive conversations and supporting employees effectively.

You will leave the session with a clearer understanding of the external support pathways available - from specialist charities to occupational health - along with tools to strengthen organisational policies and foster a culture where early intervention and wellbeing are genuinely prioritised.

We are a charity supporting people to transform their lives for the better, helping them to manage their health and wellbeing independently.

We are a charity delivering expert-led services that provide care, support, education and training.

We undertake ground-breaking research into societal problems and issues. Using our findings, we inform practical solutions to promote holistic health with individuals and across the communities we serve.

By working collaboratively with the people who use our services, their families, our commissioners, partners and local authorities we support positive change in those that need it.

We’re part of a journey, and everyone’s journey is different.
