This event will provide an employment law update focusing on the changes and impact of the Employment Rights Act.

Jamie Meechan – Senior Associate from Burness Paull LLP will lead a session that will go through the headline changes, focusing on those most likely to impact the sector, and give suggestions of what HR teams can be doing now and looking forward to get ready and/or comply.


This session will be hosted on teams and is a great opportunity for not only those who work in the Not For Profit Sector, but other parts of the economy who will enjoy an interactive and engaging ‘lunch and learn session.’


PS – Bring your on lunch as only good quality food for thought will be provided on the day.

Jamie Meechan, Senior Associate from Burness Paull LLP

Jamie is a Senior Associate in our Employment team. He provides advice on all employment law matters to clients across a range of sectors, including: day-to-day employment advice and HR support, contracts and changes to terms and conditions, discipline and grievance, absence and performance, discrimination, whistleblowing, restructuring and redundancies, TUPE, senior exits, settlement agreements and corporate support. He also regularly represents clients in the Employment Tribunal and has appeared in Tribunals throughout the United Kingdom.

Jamie has a particular interest in diversity, equity and inclusion and is often invited to speak and advise on such topics. He is also chair of the firm’s LGBT+ employee network group, BeProud; is a trustee of a charity in Scotland; and was previously shortlisted for Junior Lawyer of the Year at the Herald Law Awards of Scotland.
