CIPD students are invited to this practical, interactive skills workshop aimed at building typical skills expected of HR generalists.

Join us for an interactive evening where you’ll experience real scenarios and challenges faced by HR generalists and start building practical skills. This event will support you in understanding the typical work of an HR generalist and build your network with people professionals.


What can you expect from this event?

  • You will work in small teams with other CIPD students.
  • You will undertake three 30 minute HR skills tasks facilitated by people professionals.
  • Examples may include working with HR data, preparing for disciplinaries / grievances, and working with HR policies.
  • Tea, coffee and cakes will be avaliable.


Who should attend?

Anyone studying a CIPD qualification who:

  • Is new to HR and / or has limited HR generalist experience.
  • Is exploring entry-level / early career HR roles.
  • Is interested in developing their ability to navigate difficult workplace conversations from an HR perspective.
  • Is interested in a practical workshop format involving collaboration and problem-solving.
