Join us for this event where we'll explore research around sexual harassment and how the risks and experiences can differ across industries and personal demographics, and to hear an employer's case study about preventing sexual harassment and supporting their employees.
Increased compliance obligations for employers around sexual harassment mean that employers will need to take ALL reasonable steps to prevent it.
At this event, we’ll explore research around sexual harassment and discuss how employers can prevent it.
Speakers:
Professor Dennis Nickson, Strathclyde Univeristy
We'll hear from Professor Dennis Nickson about sexual harassment by clients in the hospitality sector, and considerations for employers in relation to protecting staff from sexual harassment.
Ji-Won Song, Lecturer in Human Resource Management/ Employee Relations at University of Edinburgh Business School
Ji-Won Song will share insights on Asian women's experiences of sexual harassment at work.
Emma Kilpatrick, Lead HR Consultant in Employee Relations and Policy at City of Edinburgh Council
Emma Kilpatrick, will share case study insights into the research and actions taken at City of Edinburgh Council to prevent sexual harassment and support their employees.
The event will start with networking and a light buffet, followed by talks and Q&A with the speakers. There will be an opportunity for further networking at the end of the event.
